Megan Anna Rapinoe was born on the 5th of July, 1985 in Redding California. She began playing soccer from a very early age, and honed her skills during her teenage years. When the WPS split up and she joined Seattle Reign FC (now OL Reign) of the National Women's Soccer League NWSL. Rapinoe became one of the club's top scorers, and later became the Captain of the squad.
