Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15, 1996, in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from musicians and music blogs and the press. She has previously made two covers that have been viewed by the world's media: Half the World Away by the band Oasis as a Christmas commercial by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's praise for her hit song Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's recognition. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a piano at her loft, where she was attracted by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music. Not for the purpose of a career or as just a pastime, but as a way to improve. In order to do so she wrote her first new compositions. Like Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mom told her that her songs can be a catalyst for her to gain fame, but also make others see their importance on the planet and realise the possibilities for the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. The piano was her first instrument at age six and writing music at age nine. Family members didn't even know about her musical talents until she turned 14. She never had a desire for her to achieve Aurora. Aurora claims she loves making music. To her, music is the best method for expressing anything.
